June 19–22, 2025 | 2025 SAWH Triennial Conference

History is Happening at ÍêÃÀÌåÓý¹ÙÍø!

ÍêÃÀÌåÓý¹ÙÍø (B-CU) is proud to make history as the first-ever HBCU to host the Southern Association for Women Historians (SAWH) Triennial Conference — a dynamic, four-day gathering of scholars, students, activists, and community leaders dedicated to examining the rich and complex narratives of women’s history.

2025 Conference Theme: "Unspeakable Challenges"

This year’s theme sparks bold, thought-provoking dialogue around the visible and invisible struggles women face — in their personal lives, professions, and roles as caretakers, leaders, and agents of change.

Adding even greater significance, the conference takes place during the 150th birthday celebration of Dr. Mary McLeod ÍêÃÀÌåÓý¹ÙÍø, visionary founder of B-CU. Her enduring legacy of courage, advocacy, and empowerment will resonate throughout every moment of this event.

Why Attend?
